Voter Rights, the Latino Vote + the Constitutional Query

Despite my decision to not practice law, I love me a good constitutional law debate (I owe it to my ACLU days). Voter ID laws are undoubtedly going to be a *huge* issue this election, especially given this infographic I found this morning from FastCoDesign. I am sure my position on this is obvious – I believe that the government has an obligation to make it easier for everyone to vote – regardless of race, SES, your ability to register to vote at the DMV, etc. Not surprisingly a number of studies show that there is a major correlation between voting and SES – lets make it easier to engage the disenfranchised – not harder.
